How Did I Miss This??
Apparently there was a video made for the song “Two Words” by Kanye and Mos Def, off of the College Dropout. Remember that song? I loved it, still do. Takes me back to freshman year in college when the first album came out. Rodd and I pushed our way to the front of the crowd when we went to see him at the House of Blues. Then we tried to inch back a bit when the girls went crazy for the Young Gunz, who were Ye’s opening act. I think that was March of ‘04. Black on Both Sides was already 5 years old but it still got play in my first generation ipod (the one that broke in like 4 months– damn you Apple!!) like it was new.
So why haven’t I seen this video before? Kanye explains:
This video never got played because I refused to remove the titles on it. They said people will think a TV show is going off and I said that’s the whole point. Wow… even only 3 videos in to the game…. I refused to compromise my vision.
Haha. But of course.

Based on the quote above, I was SUPER ready to hate. But I really enjoyed the style of this video.

You know it’s old when Shawn Carter and Damon Dash are both listed as executive producers. I love this though, I’m bout to break out the old Kanye.
