Just when we thought this story couldn’t get any more bizarre the Los Angeles Times reports that Chris Brown and Rihanna were recently in the studio together recording a love song. The producer of the untitled duet,  Polow da Don, said he wrote the lyrics prior to Chris Brown allegedly pummeling Ri Ri the night of the Grammys.

Polow da Don wrote the lyrics and music for the R&B-flavored song prior to Brown’s Feb. 8 arrest. It was originally intended as a single for Rihanna, with a remix featuring Brown as a later roll-out.

After the altercation, however, the producer urged the two singers to perform the song as a duet and they agreed. The source said the song’s lyrics deal with love’s “trials and tribulations, the way love is complicated and blind” in a way that seemed to speak directly to the couple’s situation. [LA TIMES]

 

You can say what you want about Rihanna staying with Chris, but my heart goes out to that poor girl. She’s caught up in a vicious cycle that thousands of women can relate too and she needs help. Like now.

 

Chris and his PR team, on the other hand, couldn’t be dumb enough to think a love song about “trials and tribulations” will help people forget about that horrible picture or the even more disturbing affidavit that’s the basis for the felony charges. Who’s going to fall for that?

 

The only one who will win in this situation is Polow da Don because his name just went viral attached to a story that’s in everybody’s mouth.

 

Meanwhile, Diddy took a break from twitter to explain why he let the couple stay in his house. 

 

 

I don’t care what Diddy says. He’s a marketing genius and letting Chrianna stay at your crib is good for business because no press is bad press in a bitch ass world. And because so many people don’t seem to understand that there’s no excuse for domestic violence, no matter  the circumstances, it’s clear we are living in some bitch ass times.
