It Should Go Without Saying…

…that Kiana and are are scraping our pennies together to figure out how to get the eff across the pond for one of MJ’s 10 “farewell” shows. What did the US do to offend you, shiny-gloved one?? I know we held you down in Cali during your trial. Hell, if it weren’t for the fact that Kiana and I were busy pledging a sorority at the time, we would have high-tailed to Santa Barbara to cheer you on as you entered the courthouse on a daily. We would have made signs and stood on my car hood and everything. And a California jury found you not guilty of doing what you prolly did do to that boy. So at the very least you should give the state of California a one-night performance.

I’ve seen footage of hungarian women fainting at your concerts and being carried out on stretchers since I was a tween. I’d do anything to have the pleasure of fainting post-”Rock With You” as well. Give us a chance, won’t you?

Disclaimer: We here at ProperTalks love Michael Jackson more than Young Dro loves obscure colors, more than Janet loves whips n’ chains, possibly even more than Pat Buchanan loves bigotry, so any coverage of the shiny-gloved one will more often than not be biased in his favor. Take that as you wish.

[...] Kiana and I are in shock. Not trying to be melodramatic here, it’s true. Michael Jackson is dead, just like that, and I honeslty didn’t think I would be this upset about it. But I am. He was as much a part of my (and millions of other people’s) childhoods as a complete stranger could possibly be. He was a genius and it’s impossible to imagine what the past 20 years of music wouldv’e sounded like without his influence. Our prayers are with his children. We’ll probably have more words on him later, but for now the only way I can deal with it is to dance. MTV has put together a playlist of some of his most popular videos.
