Homophobia in Hip Hop is Annoying…and Played.
Seems like 50 Cent is desperate for attention these days. Anyone who has even stumbled across a hip hop blog oan accident in the past week can attest to this. He’s taking other folks’ baby mamas on shopping sprees, making cartoons, wearing wigs– anything to not have to actually talk about why his music ain’t selling like it used to. But “accusing” people of maybe being gay isn’t even creative, at least the cartoons were kinda creative.
Kanye’s response:
Sigh. Its 2009, musicians shouldn’t have to explain why they choose to wear the crazy crap they wear. Part of their jobs is to be hella random, it’s what keeps their performances entertaining. George Clinton gets to wear diapers and still keep his manhood intact. Andre 3000 has worn wigs, ponchos and fur pants, but nobody denies his lady-getting ability. The whole “ooh, he gay” storyline is just boring at this point. I’d much rather watch low-budget hip hop cartoons.
