Most musicians would sound terrible even attempting the song. He kinda effed up with the lazy instrumentals, substituting the violin for keyboard synthesizers, not a good look, almost like when they redo songs on american idol. And I agree with southernbelle--Live at the Harlem Square Club shows a grittier side of Sam his black concert fans knew well but was toned down in his mainstream songs.
