My Two Sent(ence)s: Jamie Foxx and Keyshia Cole

Jamie Foxx, “Intuition”
The dreaded sophomore slump apparently doesn’t apply to everyone
(technically, he’s had a few non-major projects he’s released, but
who’s really counting those?). Led by the unique video treatment of “Just
Like Me” feat. T.I., the album doesn’t break any new ground; yet
there’s enough cameos and style changes in the versatile
comedian/actor/musician’s repertoire to keep the listening experience
fresh.
Verdict: Cop. Standout tracks: “I Don’t Need It” feat. Timbaland & “Love Brings Change”

Keyshia Cole, “A Different Me”
The Bay Area diva turned reality-show personality returns with a body
of work that doesn’t revolve around her struggles, choosing instead to
showcase her commendable growth and newfound femininity.
Unfortunately, like Mary post-drama, something feels hollow with this
new Keyshia leaving us to wish things were still “The Way It Is” Was.
Verdict: Cop (to support…if she ain’t eatin, a whole lot of people won’t
either, and Frankie needs her nutrition). Standout tracks: “Erotic” & “Trust” feat. Monica
