Busta’s Arab Money- Hands Down Worst Video of the Year
Ughh. The day I’ve been dreading since September has arrived. Busta’s ignant-ass song featuring his ignant-ass dance and Ron Browz’s ignant ass singing fake arabic is below. Click if you dare.
I think I’ve gone HAM on enough dumb rappers for one week, and plenty of folks have pointed out the xenophobia and cultural insensitivity of this song so I’ll just ask a few simple questions about the video:
1) Really DJ Khaled? Really?! Last I checked you were of Palestinian descent. How about you not be in a video with a bunch of morons stereotyping all Arabs to have “oil well money in the desert playing golf/ Dolce shorts, dashiki with a Louie Scarf”?? How bout you have some f*cking common sense and decline to cosign that buffoonery? You wouldn’t see my black ass in a video called “I Cook Black Folk Chicken” dancing around with a 2 piece and a biscuit. But maybe that’s just me.
2) Is Busta really playing cards with the ghost of Yasser Arafat?! Why oh, oh why would anyone really take the time to even CGI the Arafat ghost in? It’s like some sick joke that I clearly don’t get.
3) Why would grown men do that stupid ass dance?! And isn’t it just a half-ass version of the Get Silly dance?
4) Is this supposed to be a roundup of all the non-talented and washed-up rappers in hip hop? I couldn’t bear to watch it more than twice, but I think I saw Soulja Boy, Shawty Lo, Jim Jones (sorry, Kiana) AND Rick Ross (methinks the fat man is overrated).
5) Can we quit with the scarf already? I thought the kaffiyeh trend was dead when they started slanging them in every color of the rainbow on 125th street in Harlem. And then Rachel Ray wore one in a Dunkin Donuts ad to make sure the thing was dead.
6) What’s next? “We Gettin Asian Grades?” “We Runnin Italian Numbers?” The possibilities are endless.
Yeah, that’s pretty much all I wanna know at this point. If you have any answers, please let me know.

Please don’t put the idea of “we gettin asain grades out there” because Soulja Boy will make that mess. lol, this is hilarious though! But, let’s not let the world think I like Jimmy Jones like that, lol…I just think he’s funny except when he’s changing nigga to Obama.

[...] Manwomanboogie is my favorite track off the latest Q-tip record so I’m geeked he finally released a video for it. The director, Rik Cordero, definitely redeemed himself with this joint considering his latest work. I’m glad to see dude’s repertoire runs deeper than CGIs of Yasser Arafat. [...]
